After 6weeks of Chapterthon project implementation , The Internet Society Gambia Chapter Project Team IoT was excited to hold a demo project presentation at the Afrimed Clinic on the 11th October 2018. In the presence of Dr Omar Jagne , CEO of Afrimed Clinic and his staff. The team presented on the proposed eHealth IoT Solution for the Clinic .
We got the chance to explain how vital sign test can be conducted using our four main sensors (SPO2 Pulse ,Temperature , Body Scale and Body pressure) connected device.
The aim of the project is to make vital sign test easily conducted , recorded and stored into the database.
To make the work of nurses easier and fast.
We also conducted some sample patient live test and it’s data was represented in our eHealth Management System Application.
Dr Jagne was greatly inspired by this project and congratulate the team for an incredible work. They have been wishing to have such technologies at hand as it’s makes their work easier to have patient data directly automated.
The Chapter Project Team looks forward expanding this project with the clinic to integrate it with their Systems.
The way forward is to installed the ehealth IoT solution at Afrimed. As a pilot & research project plans are to conduct a survey in fews months time to see ways it has better improved patient care and how its working for the nurses in the clinic.
